Department of Higher Education & Training (DHET)
Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) was formed when
the then National Department of Education was split into two: DBE and the DHET. DHET is tasked with the responsibility for the coordination of the education and training sub-systems of post-school education, including universities, Further Education and Training Colleges, Sector Education and Training Authorities, and Adult Basic Education.
