HESA’s strategic plan is the result of lively and thorough debate from all members of the board of directors in order to better position itself for the developmental challenges in South Africa and the region, as well as to ensure that the organisation can effectively interact with our global community.

The activities of HESA are organised around four programmes and a number of projects that support, strengthen and otherwise contribute to the creation of a proactive and energetic higher education sector. The strategic plan is best articulated in the programmes and projects that go to make up HESA’s ongoing activities.
