The National AIDS Helpline
The National AIDS Helpline (0800-012-322) provides a confidential, anonymous 24-hour toll-free telephone counselling, information and referral service for those infected and affected by HIV and AIDS. Helpline was initiated in 1991 and is a partnership of the Department of Health and LifeLine Southern Africa. The Helpline has trained lay-counsellors that offer telephone counselling within the SADC region.

New Start is a professional HIV counselling and testing service that offers private HIV counselling. You can find out about your HIV status and work with your counsellor on a plan to stay healthy, whether you test positive or negative.
